Waterfall House
HOW1K LTD
The project is a contemporary luxury residence in the exclusive area of Whittle le Woods on the Leeds to Liverpool canal for a private client.
The project is complex due to the proximity of the canal and limited space. The large steel frame structure, spanning 4000 square feet, consists of four storeys of accommodation. This includes a reinforced concrete basement, ground floor, and first floor, with the top floor serving as the principal suite. At the rear of the property, overlooking the canal, is a bespoke design of cascading floor levels featuring glass floors, glass walls, roof lights, and infinity balconies, aptly named "Waterfall House."
The galvanized steel sections at the lower floor level were necessary to form the basement at the water's edge. The galvanization was essential due to the canal's proximity, exposure to the elements, and sections being open to form the undercroft.
